God of War: Ascension is out this March and Sony has decided to team up with the History Channel to cross-promote the new game and the upcoming Vikings TV series by offering a special bonus weapon for the game's multiplayer exclusively from Best Buy.
God of War: Ascension will not only let players take protagonist
Kratos on a new story, but also give them a chance to create their own heroes in a multiplayer mode.
Now, in order to cross-promote the game with the History Channel's upcoming Vikings series, Sony has confirmed that those who pre-order God of War: Ascension from Best Buy will receive a special voucher code that nets them a Mjolnir hammer weapon in the multiplayer.
Besides the unique hammer modeled after that of Norse god Thor, the voucher also unlocks, according to the
PS blog, the Mythological Heroes Multiplayer pack, which includes four unique armor sets based on ancient Greece's mightiest heroes: Achilles, Perseus, Orion, and Odysseus.
God of War: Ascension is out in March exclusively for the PS3.
