Michael Lohan is again fighting back at allegations made by his own daughter, actress Lindsay Lohan, on her Twitter page. Following the release of a private conversation between himself and former wife Dina, Lindsay tweeted that her father was not a real man for often threatening to kill her mother. This is the clearest sign that Lindsay is more delusional because of the heavy drug use than he believed her to be, Michael is now saying in a statement to the New York Post.

The two have been engaged in a bitter exchange of words for many months now. Michael, on one hand, is saying that he’s only speaking to the media about Lindsay’s drug use to show to her that she needs professional help. The star, on the other hand, claims they haven’t been in contact for years and that Michael is only trying to cash a buck at her expense, by spreading lies about her.

The feud culminated the other day, when Michael said that God was punishing his daughter for trying to tarnish his reputation with the public. “That’s a lie.” Mr. Lohan says of Lindsay’s allegation that he repeatedly threatened to kill Dina. “I guess Lindsay is on more drugs than I thought to say something like that. Now I’m going to release more recordings that prove everything she is saying is nothing more than a bunch of lies.” he threatens.

Because she’s turning against her own father who, in the end, wants nothing more but to lend her a (very selfless) helping hand, God is punishing her by making her watch as her acting career crumbles to dust, Michael believes. “No wonder why God is taking her entire career away from her. Because she’s forsaken everything He’s given her and she’s done nothing but misuse all the gifts she’s given.” Mr. Lohan adds.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for Lindsay Lohan has confirmed that, indeed, the actress is considering all her legal options as regards barring her father from ever slandering her name in the press by spreading false stories on her so-called addiction to drugs.
