The final version of GoblinX 2.6 (Standard edition), the popular Slackware-based Live CD Linux distribution, was released yesterday and the most amazing and unbelievable thing to mention is that it comes
packed with not one, two or three, but five window managers: KDE, Fluxbox, Xfce, Enlightenment and WindowMaker! Few distributions have so much window managers, especially when its size is so small (approximate 300 MB). Other important features, bug fixes and improvements included in GoblinX 2.6 are:

■ Added Slax's firewall as default;
■ Added more options to Isolinux menu;
■ Rebuilt Gtkdialog interfaces to not allow resize action;
■ Corrected a few errors and bugs;
■ Corrected the 'Kill' button in media manager interfaces;
■ Upgraded some libraries and packages including Xorg-server;
■ Corrected some Sudo issues;
■ Removed Xorg's default resolution;
■ Removed some useless libraries;
■ Added more services to boot;
■ Added more autostart options;
■ Corrected Ivman issues with users.

What is GoblinX?

GoblinX is a Live CD based on Slackware Linux, created by using Linuxlive scripts, by Flavio de Oliveira a.k.a Grobsch. The distribution is excellent for those of you who appreciate quality applications and a workspace that is practical and beautiful. Some of the most common used and praised applications for Linux are packed in it, and allows everyone to customize the operating system, in an easy manner.

Goblin Live CD is supported in five languages, and employs a modular system that allows you to add applications to the Live CD while using it, or by building the ISO file. Features can be enabled or disabled by adding kernel parameters to the system. Since it boots, you will see beautiful graphics and artistic features, and if you want to see what happens "under the hood" when GoblinX boots, you can press F2 and you will have an output of the boot messages.

GoblinX is released under the GPL license, so you are free to modify and re-distribute it.
