GoLive! Mobile announced that it has been selected by Forum Communications to provide mobile content services to Forum's existing broadcast, print and Internet media subscribers. Forum Communications currently operates over 40 newspaper, TV, and radio outlets in the Midwest and plans to expand its media distribution to include the mobile channel. Mobile content services offered by Forum will initially include informational alerts like news and weather updates, with more advanced applications planned for launch later this year.

"Mobile messaging is a compelling new distribution channel for our content simply because people are always carrying their cell phones," stated Paul Amundson, Interactive Media Manager at Forum Communications. "This has great implications for time-sensitive content and other information which is nice to have at your fingertips. We at Forum are excited to tap this new distribution channel, and our partnership with GoLive! Mobile provides us with a flexible technology solution to do so."

Using GoLive! Mobile's technology, Forum Communications' subscribers will be able to sign up for the various mobile content services via the web or by text messaging advertised keywords to a 5-digit number called a "short code." Subscribers will then receive Forum's real-time alerts and updates on their mobile phones via GoLive! Mobile's messaging infrastructure.

"We are honored to be selected by Forum Communications, one of the premiere regional media companies in the US, to mobile-enable their existing content offerings," said Joel Givens, Vice President of Product Development at GoLive! Mobile. "Claiming well over 100 years of operating success, Forum's media properties are truly embedded brands in the markets they serve. We couldn't ask for a better distribution platform in the region."
