Well, it seems like the death of the patron saint of Ireland is good news for the gaming world. The upcoming Saint Patrick's Day festivities are a perfect opportunity for GOG to hold a massive discount on some great video games.

The sale runs for a week, allowing players to essentially build their own bundle, and offering discounts on over 40 games, the list being available on the GoG website on its entirety.

Players get to choose 5 games from a juicy list of 25 titles and pay only $2 / €1.5 or $3 / €2 per item, which is a massive discount considering that they get to choose from Alan Wake, Hotline Miami, Fez, Deponia, Spelunky, Surgeon Simulator 2013, Brutal Legend, Dust: An Elysian Trail, The Swapper and many other engaging titles.

The promotion ends on Tuesday, March 18, at 4:59 AM GMT, so there's plenty of time to make up your mind if the answer to which one to get isn't ALL of them.

Additionally, the BIG games BIG sale, which is only up for the duration of this weekend, brings some other good games down a notch, such as the only game that rightfully deserves to have the word "saga" in its name, Stoic's epic strategy game The Banner Saga, down 33 percent, or the captivating adventure title The Night of the Rabbit and the single player WoW dungeon sim Aarklash Legacy, both available at more than 50 percent off, alongside The Chinese Room's atmospheric Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs.
