Recently, the
Finnish company announced the launching of a new outdoor wristwatch computer known as the Suunto Core. The brand's watches are especially made for different sports like sailing, golfing, hiking, mountain climbing, alpine sports, training and even diving.

Other than telling the time, the brand new Core version also features an altimeter, and a reworked user interface, for an easier navigation, all offered in four different languages. The customer has the possibility to choose from black leather, aluminum, or brown elastomer straps.

"In designing the Suunto Core, we had to surpass the world's best-selling outdoor wristop, the Suunto Vector. Over seventy years of outdoor experience combined with feedback from climbers and skiers worldwide allowed us to do it. Now we continue our heritage in this category that we have been building and expect the category to expand with our new products," explains Suunto President, Juha Pinomaa.

Moreover, the Suunto device is an altimeter, barometer and compass and offers new features such as a depth meter, sunrise and sunset times, so you'll know exactly when to take your mate to the beach for some romantic moments.

This is surely going to appeal to sports lovers with its integrated dual time, countdown timer, and a comprehensive sports chronograph. The altimeter is said to be accurate to more than 10.000 meters and is capable of displaying current elevation and shows the elevation gained and lost, as well as recording sessions for later reviews.

The altimeter tracks a hiker's or a climber's ascent and descent, while the built-in Core barometer measures and records the air pressure and displays the graphic weather trend to help the users predict the unforeseen changing conditions. There is also an integrated Storm Alarm that helps the climbers avoid dangerous situations.

It sounds and flashes when bad weather approaches. The Suunto Core wristwatch is going to wear a 180 to 350 pounds price tag and it will be marketed starting September.
