New screenshots available with the new feature

Today, I wrote an article to inform you that Google's mail service - Gmail contains a flaw that can allow an attacker to steal your contact list. Even if the service is available only by invitation, anyone can own an account because the company allows its users to send almost 100 invitations so it's obvious the mail solution is accessible to everybody.

Gmail wasn't updated too often but, when the company decided to improve it, the mail service received many important new features that increased its functionality. For example, the latest Gmail update concerns Mail Fetcher, a function that helps users to convert the service into a full-featured POP3 client. The new feature, available only for a limited part of clients, helps you add up to 5 POP3 accounts into your Gmail username, helping you control all your e-mail accounts directly from the Google service.

Because the feature is still in testing stages, it is available only for some users, so many of you didn't see and use it. Ionut Alex posted a message on his blog with many screenshots captured in different menus of the function.

"Gmail added a new feature that lets you fetch mail from up to 5 POP3 accounts, but the feature is not yet enabled in all Gmail accounts. Overall, Gmail's mail fetcher is fast and doesn't need too much tweaking to make it work. You'll be able to get your old mail to Gmail and use Gmail as a universal account. Unfortunately, there are some bugs (I deleted an account, but I still received mails), so this feature will be delayed a little bit more," he said.
