Gmail Touch is clearly one of the most popular Gmail clients that run in the Metro UI, especially because search giant Google has decided to stay away from Windows 8.

The good news is that WindowsApps, the company behind this project, rolled out an important overhaul for its app, renaming Gmail Touch to Gmail Touch+ and introducing a bunch of new options for all Windows 8 users.

Just as expected, Gmail Touch+ packs easy to use features to access the inbox, write new messages and search the inbox without even leaving the Metro UI.

In addition, it offers multi-account support, as well as badge and toast notifications to let you know when a new messages lands in your inbox. Live tile options are also available to show the subject of the latest messages right on your Start Screen.
