Version 2.71828 came with bug fixes, but users are still unsatisfied

Google this week released an update for users of its iOS Gmail app hoping to address some bugs, but apparently more maintenance is in order for the email app.

Some customers leaving reviews on iTunes are extremely dissatisfied with the update, with one user writing “I love this app A LOT but with the new update it crashes every time I try and open a random email, and is lagging and slow and glitchy.

Another customer writes: “Just downloaded the new update and the app crashed entirely even after deleting it and re-downloading the app. It still won’t open.”

Gmail 2.71828 promised to deliver “bug fixes” but apparently brought some of its own. It isn’t clear if the update is recommended for everyone, but the safest bet is to just stay put for now, if you’re not having any problems with your Gmail app.
