Glu Mobile just announced that it has signed a multi-year agreement with Fox Mobile Entertainment to develop and publish mobile games and content based on the ICE AGE brand. Glu will begin by developing and publishing the mobile-exclusive game ICE AGE: Mammoth Mayhem, scheduled for launch in the summer of 2008.

"Our initial work with Fox on ICE AGE 2 proved a tremendous commercial success," said Greg Ballard, president and chief executive officer, Glu. "We're excited to have the opportunity to build on that success with our new mobile-exclusive ICE AGE game scheduled for summer of this year, and with a subsequent mobile game based on Fox's ICE AGE 3 movie, scheduled for release in 2009."

ICE AGE 2: Arctic Slide, was one of Glu's top-selling games worldwide for 2006. The game's global marketing campaign rallied enthusiastic support from wireless operators in key new markets.

Blue Sky Studios and Fox Animation have announced that ICE AGE 3, the latest installment in the ICE AGE franchise, will be fully produced in digital 3D, with global theatrical release scheduled for July 1, 2009. The brand has so far grossed over $1.2 billion worldwide.

ICE AGE 3 will be directed by Oscar-nominated Carlos Saldanha, having previously directed ICE AGE: THE MELTDOWN, and having co-directed the original ICE AGE. The film is being produced by Academy Award-winning Blue Sky Studios, the creative force behind all ICE AGE films and the upcoming HORTON HEARS A WHO, among others.

Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, Queen Latifah, and Denis Leary are back onboard to voice the characters they made famous in the first two films: Manny, Diego, Ellie and Sid, respectively. More voice talents will be announced shortly. ICE AGE 3 is being produced by Lori Forte and John Donkin from a script by Michael Berg and Peter Ackerman.
