Leading publisher Glu Mobile has announced a new partnership with game industry veteran and founder of Blammo Games, Cristopher Locke.

Christopher Locke is a famous designer of iOS games who is mostly known for his popular Smurfs' Village and Zombie Cafe titles that made it to freemium top 10, and as the external producer on critically acclaimed Lil' Pirates game.

We are pleased to establish a long-term publishing relationship with Mr. Locke and his new studio, Blammo Games,” said Niccolo De Masi, CEO of Glu. “Glu and Blammo Games share a keen focus on bringing high-quality mobile titles to market and we look forward to leveraging Mr. Locke's unique talents to produce dynamic and enduring mobile gaming franchises for Glu gamers.”

While Smurfs' Village and Zombie Cafe games are free to play, they both charge real money for additional in-app content.

However, gamers can choose to lock out the ability to purchase in-app content by adjusting the device’s settings. This is highly useful for those who wish to avoid accidentally expenditure.

Following the new partnership between the two companies, Glu will act as publisher and Blammo Games as developer on two titles over the next twelve months.

Apparently, both upcoming games will integrate Glu's tools and technology and will be included in the Glu Games Network.

I am excited to collaborate with Glu on their upcoming titles,” said Locke. “Glu has asserted themselves as innovators in high-quality, freemium gaming and a leading contributor to the iOS and Android ecosystem. Blammo Games collaboration with Glu will undoubtedly produce unique, captivating gaming experiences for consumers.”

According to Glu Mobile, the collaboration may be extended for sequels of each of the two releases if the publisher feels that this is necessary.

More importantly, Glu Mobile reserved the option to purchase up to a 25% ownership interest in Blammo Games company.
