Glu Mobile, the well-known game developer, announced at the end of last week that it would cut the price of its games to only 99 cents, to celebrate the 14th anniversary of Roland Emerich's Independence Day movie. Starring Will Smith, Bill Pullman and Jeff Goldblum, the box office hit had its premiere on 25th June 1996, in Westwood, California.

This is not the first time Glu Mobile offers a big chunk of its games on sale. Furthermore, the developer is starting to become known for its short term special offers that include many of its highly-acclaimed games for very low prices. The “4th of July” offer includes 18 titles that can be bought and downloaded from three different store: Apple Store, Android market and Palm digital market.
