Mobile games publisher Glu Mobile announced the launch of the highly anticipated racing game Project Gotham Racing Mobile. Developed and published by Glu exclusively for mobile phones, PGR Mobile is the first mobile adaptation of the original award-winning Project Gotham Racing franchise developed by Bizarre Creations for Microsoft Xbox and Xbox 360.

"Project Gotham Racing is the number one action-oriented racing franchise, and PGR Mobile captures the high-quality gameplay with the style and speed true to the original franchise," said Jill Braff, general manager of the Americas, Glu Mobile. "We're excited to bring the first mobile adaptation of this award-winning franchise to mobile phones around the world."

PGR Mobile allows players to choose from eight of today's hottest cars - the Honda NSX, Aston Martin Vanquish, Cadillac 16, Ford GT, Lamborghini Gallardo, Mercedes AMG-C-DTM, Toyota GT-ONE and Corvette C6 - and drive through detailed city landscapes in the world's greatest cities, including San Francisco, Paris, London, Cairo and Shanghai.

Each vehicle's unique physics and engine specifications - including top speed and horsepower - are emulated in the game, and preserving the style-based racing mechanics, players earn 'Kudos' by drifting around corners, making use of other racers slipstreams (drafting), overtaking and getting air time over jumps. Extra bonuses are available for particularly skillful and stylish motoring where the player combines a series of kudos maneuvers. With PGR Mobile, it's not just about how fast you drive, but how you drive fast.

The game is now available via major wireless carriers in Europe, North and South America and Asia and will continue to launch worldwide in the coming months.
