They will easily outclass notebooks according to MIC

Yet another forecast has been made about the notebook and tablet market, with special emphasis on tablets.

Digitimes published a very short summary of the findings of the Market Intelligence & Consulting Institute (MIC) under the government-sponsored Institute for Information Industry.

Apparently, 228 million slates will sell this year (2013), 62.2% more than in 2012.

Meanwhile, notebooks will experience a growth of their own, not a drop as most everyone else believes.

They still won't come close to tablets though, with their projected 182 million.

China-based ODM/OEMs will make most of the orders, and China-based white-box vendors will encourage sales a lot too.

Obviously, the many new CPUs, APUs, GPUs and systems based on them that will appear at Computex 2013 will play a great role in all of this.
