Gladiator: Sword Of Vengeance is a video game that was developed by Acclaim Studios Manchester and was published by Acclaim Entertainment, Inc.

The game was launched on the PlayStation 2 home gaming console from Sony, the original Xbox from Microsoft and the PC as powered by Windows.

It was launched during 2003.

The title can be classified as an action game that mixes fantasy and medieval elements and can be played from a third person perspective, with some platforming elements.

The game takes the player back to the bloody times of the Roman Empire, with the player becoming Invictus Trax, a slave that has become the best of the gladiators.

Just as the game begins the emperor is mysteriously killed and Trax himself is thrown into the afterlife by an unknown monster.

There he is met by the sons of Jupiter, who tell him that a man named Arruntius has worked with the god of terror to kill him and plans to destroy and then replace Rome with a new city.

The game mixes hand to hand, combos and magic in the battle sequences, with the main character constantly getting access to new powers as the gamer progresses.

UNLOCKABLES

Weapon challenges

Collect all of the Titan Tablets, Priest's Amulets, and Emperor's Coins. Deposit all of them in the appropriate pillar to make a giant stone tablet appear in the middle of Elysiam. Activate the tablet to start the weapon challenges.

Invictus Gladius weapon

Win Sword Challenge 4 in the weapon challenges in order to get the Invictus Gladius weapon.

Annihilation weapon

Win Axe Challenge 4 in the weapon challenges in order to get the Anihilation weapon.

Olympus Cleavers

Win Gauntlet Challenge 4 in the weapon challenges in order to get the Olympus Cleavers.
