Photo Commander from Ashampoo: some of you know it, some may have only heard of its abilities others. Regardless of the case, our deal is fairly simple: we have 10 licenses to give away for this application, and to get one you have to show us you can put the program to good use.

To achieve this, you can drop several lines in the comments section of our review. The text has to be relevant to the software. In other words, anything relating to Ashampoo Photo Commander, be it good or bad, makes for a perfect fit.

If you want to express your opinion in a video, feel free to do so, but remember to let us know of your project in the comments. Winners will be those who come up with the most pertinent content.

For those unaware of Photo Commander’s abilities, the application is an all-in-one suite for handling your photo collections. It is designed not only to help you organize the pictures, but also to optimize and edit them as well as create beautiful presentations.

Tagging is a new feature in the latest version, which allows easier grouping of the images based on the same keyword. Thus you will be able to find all the items sharing the same tag easily and effortless.

Batch processing is also listed among the highlights of the application. These functions allow you to make brief corrections such as modifying the contrast or brightness levels to multiple items at once. The set of batch jobs you can start with the application covers conversion and file renaming tasks as well.

Ashampoo Photo Commander makes for a good instrument to bind photos into collages or to create slideshows with background music. Additional possibilities cover making custom calendars featuring your personal pictures, or HTML albums, greeting cards or photo mixes.

Editing and optimization functions in the program come in handy if you want to adjust the pictures so that they look the way you want them. Contrast, colors, effects, red-eye removal, applying speech bubbles or resizing are all available in the menus.

Ashampoo Photo Commander ($49.99) is a complex suite bent on giving you the right instruments to manage images. It can also clean collections of duplicate data as well as burn the projects to disc.

If the set of features haven’t convinced you yet, the application can be taken for a spin for at least 10 days, with the possibility to extend it with another 30. During the evaluation period the program will work at full capacity, with no functions cut off.

NOTE: The giveaway for Ashampoo Photo Commander has ended. The winners were selected based on their comments for both this article as well as the program's review.

Ashampoo Photo Commander looks like a good replacement for Windows Live Photo Gallery.

Photoshop Commander is GREAT! I have the trial and love it! Have been using PSE 9 and Commander is much smoother and far less intrusive system wise. Also and this is big for me, Photo Commander does not phone home every time you start it. Yay! PSE 9 calls home all the time which irks me. I think Ashampoo has a winner here!

I have version 7 of photo commander as my primary picture viewer installed on my machine and whenever a new version is released by ashampoo i just look at the ad in my suite longingly and close it with a sigh. Recently I saw the version 9 ad popup and wish to enter this giveaway to win it as I feel it is one of the best photo editor/viewers out there

I have been looking at the capabilities of Photo Commander 9 for a wile. I need a program that will allow me to ingest hundreds of old photos of my wife when when she was a little girl. This of course will require a simple to use application including being able to edit and enhance older phots using my copyer to enhance the photos. This includes creation of albums and other functionalities I have read about Photo Commander 9. The descriptions as stated on the Ashampoo site seem to fit what I am looking for exactly.

Great for organising your photos, the option to put a frame around a photo is handy when you print out a photo. The clone tool is good for taking out something that is spoiling the photo.Been using photo commander for years and this version looks good.If I don't win it I might upgrade.

Ashampoo Photo Commander 9 is a simple and versatile application for working with graphics and convenient organization. It allows for things like saturation of colors, sharpen the image, and the introduction of a variety of effects. Such as blurring, shading, and mosaic. I could use a license for this program.

I have been using Photo commander 8 I bought the program 8 months ago and I love it. The only problem I've found was the red eye removal process. I have found this process to be not very good. Otherwise this is the best photo editing program I've ever used. I am a paraplegic on permanent disability so money is an issue and buying this program was worth every penny. I just wish I could afford the new version. To all readers this program is GREAT!!!
