A few weeks ago, Google rolled out an interesting initiative that is meant to connect the Gmail fans from every corner of the world and unite them into a single and attractive video
published on YouTube. Basically, it's all about the Gmail logo that represents the mail service provided by the Mountain View company because the interested participants must record themselves while they pass the service's logo from one another. After numerous consumers sent their clips to Google, the search giant joins all of them into a single and long movie to be published on the famous video platform YouTube.
Although the campaign was scheduled to be ended on August 15, Google decided to extend the deadline to Friday 17 in order to get more clips from the Gmail fans from every corner of the world.
"Just a quick update to let you know we've extended the deadline for entries to our Gmail collaborative video to this Friday, August 17th. We've received a bunch of requests to extend the deadline, so we wanted to give people a bit more breathing room to get those last edits in. Some of them are just amazing - we've been blown away by the creativity and effort behind so many of the clips," Bill Kee, Gmail Team, announced today.
Gmail is continuously kept in the spotlights and this is only a good thing for the mail service provided by the Mountain View company. Until now, the search giant did almost anything it was possible to promote Gmail and this is obvious especially when you see the number of consumers who registered for the product. Since it was first released in April 2004, Gmail was one of the top Google products, being first described as the product which offers the largest storage size at that time. As time passed, Gmail evolved and is now promoted as the mail service that offers the best security filters which can protect you against spam and unsolicited messages.
