14 DAY TRIAL // The other day saw the beginning of a new celebrity feud, with LeAnn Rimes taking offense at a series of comments Giuliana Rancic made about her weight. The E! correspondent is now responding to Rimes’ Twitter attack, saying she never meant to offend her.
It all started with a relatively inoffensive comment from Rancic, about how she thought Rimes was looking better with some curves.
Upset that she was being targeted for her weight once more, LeAnn took to Twitter to complain about how unfair it was to have another skinny (and criticized for her weight) woman pick on her for being skinny.
Now, Giuliana is setting the record straight on the entire thing: she didn’t mean what she said in a negative way, she was simply stating a personal preference.
“I don’t see anything wrong with pointing out that someone looks good curvier. There’s nothing hotter than a girl with some curves. I wish I was a curvy bombshell!... trust me!” Giuliana says for E! Online.
Celebrity gossip lovers must know that she too was often in a position in which she had to defend herself from those saying she was starving herself to be as thin as she is.
“I didn’t mean it as an insult but apparently some people took it the wrong way. If someone told me they prefer me with some more weight on me... I’d give them a big, fat kiss!” Rancic adds.
“I think this is just a big misunderstanding and hold no hard feelings towards LeAnn. Hope to see her on a red carpet soon!” she further says.
In all fairness, LeAnn tried her best to respond to Rancic’s initial comments as calmly as possible, even inviting her out to lunch (followed by a workout session) to see for herself that she eats proper food and is actually very healthy.
Rancic doesn’t say if she’s taking her up on that offer.
