When you say "Girls Aloud", you immediately think of an energetic group of girls who are most likely to party nonstop for a week than sit around a table worrying about the future. And yet, an interview the group did with the Daily Mail has brought up a topic I never thought would ever pop up in a conversation with the girls, not in a million years: the group's separation.

And no, it's got nothing to do with inside fights and individually made decisions, solo careers and this kind of things - or at least if something like that is going on, the world is not yet aware of it. And there is certainly no commercial reason to split up: the group has just entered the Guinness Book Of Records for the "most consecutive top entries in the UK by a female group", eclipsing the Spice Girls top ten single record with 16 hits. So what's going on, then?

A little more info on the girls...

The fact is, the five beautiful girls - Nicola Roberts, Nadine Coyle, Cheryl Cole, Kimberley Walsh and Sarah Harding - have grown up, their sound and attitude towards their own music has grown more mature and are starting to think about doing other things expected to be part of a girl band, albeit a very successful one. Which goes to show that in the end, it's not all about the money and the popularity - on the contrary.

"We live in a pop industry bubble and see it for what it is" Cheryl says. "We're well aware that at any moment in time the bubble can burst. If this all ended, I would like to be a mother, have children. Babies are definitely something I'm looking forward to - and something I want to do sooner, rather than later. That's going to be the highlight of my life - having children and settling down.
they sure know how to rock it...

But every decision you make as an individual affects four other people's lives. This is the debate at the moment". That definitely makes sense, as far as I'm concerned. Despite what most of us think, not even being part of the most successfully manufactured group in British music history can cover all the aspects of a fulfilling life - unfortunately.

"I'm the most willing to try different things - the one who mostly thinks outside the box" her band mate Nadine adds. "For me, the need is to be in Girls Aloud to release this album. If the tour doesn't sell well, we'll have to have a conversation about where we go next. There are things I want to do that are not entertainment-related - such as buy and decorate houses and sell them on, or buy bars and sell them". Yes, just as I was saying, it's hard to believe, but life as a successful superstar may lack certain things. And the girls sure seem determined to find whatever is missing and make the most of their lives outside "Girls Aloud". And some of the Hollywood stars out there better pay attention - fame, it seems, is how the game begins, but the ending can be a lot more surprising than that.
