The latest television ad from Apple is now airing in the US featuring a girl and her grandfather sharing a moment of holiday cheer over FaceTime.
A holiday-themed ad, the newest TV spot from Apple promotes the new iPad models, as well as the company’s proprietary video calling function, featuring a young girl singing Bing Crosby's “I'll Be Home for Christmas” to her grandfather over FaceTime.
“I'll be home for Christmas. You can count on me. I'll be home for Christmas, if only in my dreams,” the granddaughter sings.
Available for watching on Apple’s official web site as well as on YouTube (embedded above), the 30-second clip is in line with all the latest iPad ads featuring more music and less words. To watch all the latest iPad ads, visit the Cupertino giant’s web site here.
I first saw the commercial tonight and it made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside...I don't tear up much but this commercial did it. I guess I'm not a Scrooge after all.
Absolutely the most adorable commercial I have ever seen. The first time seeing it brought tears to my eyes. I remember playing the piano long ago to my dad over the phone. I am a lot older now. Thank you for that warm memory. Only commercial I ever tevoed!
This is the best ad on TV. Simple, but so moving (I'm a grandpa). I actually have fast forwarded through shows that I have taped in order to see it and show it to my family.
The first time i saw her singing i was blown away. I googled the girl singing the song and have been playing it over and over again. She plays that four stringer great as well. I can tell you she is not playing video games all day!
This girl is a star in the making, she is absolutely beautiful with a voice that matches her beauty. Great commercial but this young lady has star written all over her.

This ad caught my attention right away. First, great song, wonderful on-key children's voice playing the ukulele & then I saw the grandfather...smiling, almost in tears. My grandpa & I were close but we live 400 miles apart. I wish this had been available back in the 60's. It was one of the few new innovative commercials of the year, one that never got repetitious. Do you have any information on the young girl who sang so beautifully? Thanks for putting back some good memories in this still "young at heart" lady.
Just a beautiful commercial. Someone please give that young lady a singing contract now. Very impressive and quite touching. She just has a great voice.
