Chinese company Gionee has just released the Pioneer P3 in India. The smartphone leaked last week, along with its full specs sheet, and now customers can grab the affordable Android smartphone for only Rs 7,499 ($120 / €90) outright.

Considering the phone’s confirmed hardware and software configuration, the Pioneer P3’s price tag is definitely bang for the buck. Potential customers can pick this one up in both white and black colors.

As fonearena points out, Gionee Pioneer P3 ships with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box and packs a powerful enough quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz.

Aside from that, the smartphone supports OTA (over-the-air) capability, which allows users to receive future updates that might bring new features and improvements.

Unfortunately, we doubt that the Pioneer P3 will ever receive a major Android upgrade, so keep that in mind before getting the smartphone.

It is also worth mentioning that Gionee Pioneer P3 offers dual-SIM support and the Gionee Xender feature that provides users with the option to share large files much easier, as well as Guest mode.

Specs-wise, the Pioneer P3 is a pretty decent alternative to high-end Android smartphones. As mentioned earlier, it packs a quad-core CPU, which is complemented by 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory.

Users will also be able to further expand storage up to 32GB via microSD memory card. The handset sports a 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution, as well as dual cameras (5-megapixel main camera and VGA front-facing camera).

All the standard connectivity features have been implemented into the Pioneer P3 such as: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS with aGPS support, 3G, and microUSB.

Other highlights of the affordable Pioneer P3 include: 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio, LED flash, HD video recording, and 1700 mAh Li-Ion battery.
