Gionee's next flagship smartphone, the Elife E8, has already leaked a few times, which means the official unveiling of the device can't be too far now.

Obviously, the Elife E8 will be launched in China, but there's a high chance that Gionee will bring it to other countries as well. India and other Asian countries might get it soon after the official reveal, but we have no confirmation on this yet, so take it as a speculation.

Moving on to specs, Gionee Elife E8 will be a beast when it comes to hardware. Although we knew most of the features included in the smartphone thanks to the previous leaks and its appearance at TENAA, we now have the opportunity to see the Elife E8 in action.

The folks over at GSMDome have just uncovered a video showing a smartphone that looks like the Elife E8, but it's tagged as Elife S8.

Since the specifications confirmed in the video are similar to those that Elife E8, we suspect that this might be a simple mix-up.

The person handling the smartphone also shows us the GFXBench benchmark results, which also lists the specs of the Elife E8.

A fingerprint scanner is included as well

As expected, Gionee Elife E8 will be equipped with an octa-core MediaTek MT6795 processor clocked at 1.9GHz, which will be complemented by a PowerVR Rogue G6200 graphics processing unit and 3GB of RAM.

Unfortunately, there seems to be a mistake there as the benchmark lists the device with 4.6-inch display, but we know from the previous leaks, as well as from the video, that the Elife E8 will in fact boast a 6-inch display.

The phone's huge screen will support Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels resolution), as mentioned by previous sources familiar with Gionee's plans.

Last but not least, the Elife E8 will pack 32GB of internal memory, a 23-megapixel camera on the back that can take 100-megapixel pictures, as well as secondary 8-megapixel camera in the front.
