One of the most popular Android smartphones in Asia a few months ago, Gionee Elife E7 mini has finally arrived in India. The smartphone was initially launched in China and it was slated for a January release in India, but that never happened.

Today, fonearena reports that Gionee Elife E7 mini is available for purchase in India via major retailer Snapdeal for only Rs 19,500 ($325 / €235) outright.

The smartphone is available in both white and pink color options and according to Snapdeal, all orders are dispatched in 2 business days (free delivery included).

Those who wish to purchase the Oppo N1, which was recently made available in India, but can’t afford the huge price, may want to take the Gionee Elife E7 mini into consideration, as the smartphone comes with a similar 13-megapixel swivel camera.

In fact, Gionee Elife E7 mini is a wonderful Android alternative to all high-end smartphones launched by international brands such as Samsung, Sony, LG and HTC.

The smartphone is armed with a powerful 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTel MT6592 processor, a Mali 450-MP4 graphics processing unit and 1GB of RAM.

Moreover, Gionee Elife E7 mini offers dual-SIM support and, as mentioned earlier, an impressive 13-megapixel photo snapper, which features LED flash, autofocus and full HD (1080p) video recording.

The only problem may be the fact that the Chinese handset lacks microSD card slot for memory expansion. The Elife E7 mini packs 16GB of internal memory, which might not be enough for heavy users. There might be some cloud solutions, but that would require Internet connection.

Anyway, Gionee has confirmed that the Elife E7 mini sports a 4.7-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display with IGZO, which supports HD (720p) resolution and 312ppi (pixel density).

It is also worth mentioning that the smartphone is powered by a non-removable 2200 mAh battery, which should provide up to 200 hours of standby time or up to 18 hours of talk time (14 hours in 3G mode).

When it comes to connectivity, Gionee Elife E7 mini offers the full package. The smartphone includes both HSDPA and HSUPA support, along with Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and NFC (Near Field Communication).

Software-wise, the Elife E7 mini ships with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box and Amigo UI 2.0 on top. Gionee has yet to announce any plans for an Android 4.4.2 KitKat upgrade for the Elife E7 mini, so there’s no telling if that will come or not.
