14 DAY TRIAL // Chinese company Gionee introduced its Elife E7 flagships smartphone in the Mainland earlier this month and promised the smartphone, along with its smaller sibling, will be launched in India as well.
True to its promise Gionee has just announced the upcoming availability of Elife E7 and Elife E7 Mini smartphones in India.
AndroidOS reports Gionee decided to launch two versions of the Elife E7, which will be available for purchase for Rs 26,999 (16GB) and Rs 29,999 (32GB), respectively.
That translates in about $435 (€315) for the 16GB model and $480 (€350) for the 32GB variant. Gionee Elife E7 will be available for purchase for Rs 18,999 outright, which is about $305 or €225.
No word on when exactly they will go on sale, but we suspect several major online retailers in India will get the smartphones in stock within the next few weeks.
Specs-wise, the Elife E7 looks pretty impressive at first glance. The smartphone comes packed with a powerful 2.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory.
The more expensive version of Elife E7 features the same CPU, but comes equipped with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. Neither of the two features microSD card slot for memory expansion.
The Elife E7 boasts a large 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) capacitive touchscreen display that features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating. It also packs a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera, an impressive 8-megapixel camera in the front and a high-capacity 2,500 mAh Li-Ion battery.
The smartphone will ship with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system with Amigo 2.0 UI on top. Gionee will launch the Elife E7 in multiple color versions, including Meteor Black, Ceramic White, Blue, Green, Orange and Red.
Next in line, the Elife E7 Mini is not too fat behind when it comes to hardware specs. The smartphone is equipped with a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory.
It also sports a 4.7-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution, as well as a pretty decent 2,100 mAh Li-Ion battery.
