She has a very girl-next-door air about her, but Ginnifer Goodwin is, at the end of the day, a perfect Hollywood girl. With lots of talent and looks to kill for, Ginnifer has recently also changed her lifestyle and become a vegetarian, though she was convinced she couldn’t possibly survive for more than a couple of weeks like that, as she reveals in a recent interview with the 21-Day Vegan Kickstart website.

Though she was positive she would not like the change and would probably soon go back to her old eating habits, time showed Ginnifer that she was actually doing great as a vegetarian for countless reasons. She felt more filled with energy and looked better than ever, which is why she continued eating healthily – and even managed to convince some members of her family to give it a try as well, she says for the website.

“For most of my life I lived on cheeseburgers, macaroni and cheese, and pizza. I just KNEW that I absolutely, positively could never give up cheese. Not only was I absolutely, positively wrong about myself, but now two of my four parents have gone vegan. They see the impact a plant-based diet has had on my life and want to live more healthfully and happily, too. If you’re anything like me, you’ll enjoy food more on a vegan diet: Your taste buds will awake, and you can eat more without gaining weight!” the actress says.

“It doesn’t take more than a sprinkling of knowledge about factory farming to drive your commitment and to make it impossible to rationalize supporting the industry. Educate yourself! Eliminating cruelty from your life is not only easy, but also very practical and reasonable. Someone else has already done the research, and the resources to make this easy for you are out there. Go online to discover accidentally-vegan foods you’ve always enjoyed and how to order vegan meals at restaurants you already frequent. Learn about new products and ask your local grocery to carry them. They will,” Ginnifer adds, in a bid to convince others to give the vegan lifestyle a fighting chance as well.

As we also reported on previous occasions, Alicia Silverstone is also a vegan and she says it’s the lifestyle choice she made years ago that’s keeping her so gorgeous, slim and young. Woody Harrelson too went vegan because he had heard it could cure acne – which it did in his case, he says – and he hasn’t come back since.
