14 DAY TRIAL // The long-awaited Android 2.3 Gingerbread software update for Verizon's Samsung Fascinate is about to be deployed.
The folks over at DroidLife have been tipped recently on the fact that Verizon is now testing the Gingerbread software update for the Samsung Fascinate.
According to them, the build number of the update is EH03, but Samsung Fascinate owners might end up with a different version in the end.
Although the carrier is only “field testing” the upgrade, those who own Verizon's Fascinate and kept their smartphones unrooted will probably be able to do so within the next few days, if the update will leak in the wild.
The good news is that the Samsung Fascinate is now on track to receive the Gingerbread upgrade, even though the “field testing” process may take a while to complete.
