Wonder Woman deserves to get her own movie and, if reactions to the Wonder Woman short film that went viral the other day are any indication, it would make a killing at the box office. Gina Carano would be perfect for the lead.

Since the aforementioned trailer re-opened the discussion on the need for a Wonder Woman movie, various media outlets have been reporting that Carano, who made a very successful transition from MMA fighting to acting, is being considered for the role.

Others are even saying that she’s in talks for it, which, considering how much she looks up to the character, would mean she’s practically one foot through the door on the project.

Now that I think of it, it’s surprising her name wasn’t linked to Wonder Woman before, because she’s just perfect.

“[She is] the ultimate superhero for a woman. No matter what, no matter who ends up being Wonder Woman someday, I just hope it's something that is done correctly. I know it's there and that it could definitely be done correctly. It's just a matter of getting the right people and having the right vision come together. A director and producer and writer have to see the beauty in it and make it real,” Carano said earlier this year, as cited by ContactMusic.

Now, knowing that Carano could eventually land the part, watch the Wonder Woman short film again – this time with her in mind. It’s perfect, is it not?
