Anderson, who won an Emmy in 1997 for her part in the hit TV series, 'X Files', opened up about her second pregnancy and admitted that the show that brought her such fame might have been the reason for which she missed out on so many things from the first one. Gillian has an 11-year-old daughter, Piper, from her previous marriage and is now expecting a child from her boyfriend, businessman Mark Griffith. The actress said during an interview that this year has been and will be one not about work, but about the joys of beginning a new life. It has been about 'change and growth and pain and happiness and ultimately SLOWING DOWN... taking stock of what is important to me, what matters, what I actually want my life to look like', Gillian said. She also pointed out that, when she was still carrying Piper, she was too busy working on the 'X Files' to notice all those little things that make pregnancy such a wonderful period in a woman's life and that she plans to never let that happen again. 'The first time round I was oblivious to the miracle and the stages and the joys. I mean, honestly, I cannot remember P kicking! Was it the hours, the special-effects smoke, the dummies with maggots eating their eyes out? What distracted me from such an important and momentous experience?', the soon-to-be-mommy-again writes on her official website. Anderson and Griffith are sharing a house in London and their first baby is due at the end of the year. During the interview, the actress completely refused to even touch the marriage topic.
