Updating BIOS is recommended only when the newer version resolves a specific problem

Gigabyte has unveiled 5 new BIOS packages targeted at most of its Intel Socket 1150 motherboards, namely versions F3, F4, F5, F6, and F7, which should improve the devices’ overall performance.

The boards that benefit from these new releases are either Intel Z87 or H87 chipset-based devices, and as for the changes made, the new BIOSes add Intel C2-stepping chipset, increase the SATA RAID performance, and improve the DDR efficiency.

Because BIOS flashing is quite risky, you should know that installing a newer version is recommended only when it resolves a specific problem that the board has been encountering; otherwise, it’s a risk that you can avoid taking.

Moreover, if you need to apply a new version, while installing it, make sure you don’t interrupt the process by shutting down the computer or through a system restart, so that the motherboard doesn’t encounter any serious damages.

Now, follow the link below to view all the compatible devices, and from the list, choose the one that best describes your motherboards to see all the changes that will be made by its latest BIOS version, and to download it.
