Gigabyte has just released a new set of BIOSes for its Intel Z87 Chipset motherboards. The new update addresses GA-Z87X-UD3H, G1.Sniper M5, GA-Z87M-D3H, GA-Z87X-UD5H, GA-Z87X-OC Force, G1.Sniper 5, GA-Z87X-OC, GA-Z87X-D3H, GA-Z87-D3HP, GA-Z87P-D3, GA-Z87N-WIFI, GA-Z87X-UD4H and GA-Z87M-HD3.

The reason I mention all the names above is that the updates share the same changelog. Gigabyte managed to improve the PCIE-E compatibility and added support for Intel C2-stepping chipset. This will hopefully solve the USB 3.0 issues reported so far with the Haswell systems.

The installation is quite simple but Gigabyte informs users that, while flashing, one should not interrupt the installation. Therefore, before flashing, make sure there's no possible way your system might accidentally shut down.

Gigabyte provides several flashing tools, like Q-Flash or @BIOS. Use them with caution and follow the installation steps.

To download the most recent BIOSes, click the motherboard names in the first paragraph. Handle them with care and stay “updated one minute ago.”
