Gigabyte is yet another company to come to the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this year with brand new touchscreen devices. The g-Smart MS820 and S1200 are the two 3G-enabled PocketPCs the company has unveiled at the show, and they both sport Wi-Fi connectivity, Office Mobile and fancy UI plug-ins.

The g-Smart MS820 has been showcased at the 2008 Computex and managed to gain the Taiwan Excellence Silver Award for its accelerometer. The handset runs under Windows Mobile operating system, and its G-Sensor can be used as a navigation solution for several applications and games.

The device includes a 5-megapixel camera that sports auto focus and face detection. In addition, the g-Smart MS820 also features HSDPA and a Marvell PXA270 520MHz CPU coupled with 128 MB of RAM. Other specs of the handset include a proprietary Smart Touch UI, version 3, microSD, push email, Windows Live Messenger, 2.8-inch display with VGA resolution, GPS SIRF Star III, Bluetooth 2.0 and miniUSB 2.0, as well as a 1300 mAh Li-Ion battery.

The Gigabyte S1200 is a brand new addition to the company's lineup. It comes with HSUPA connectivity and a 3.1-inch WVGA screen, while measuring only 11.4 mm in thickness, which places it in the slim line. The handset also sports Windows Mobile Professional, and the spec list shows that it comes with the 6.1 version, but that it is upgradeable to the 6.5 version of the platform.

S1200 features a Flash UI plug-in, a 528MHz CPU with 128 MB RAM, a 3-megapixel auto focus camera, GPS Qualcomm, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, miniUSB 2.0, 256 MB ROM, microSD memory card slot, push email, Office Mobile, Windows Live Messenger and a 1010 mAh battery.

The new S1200 is expected to hit the market in the second quarter of the year, with the price to be announced in due time.
