Gaming keyboard are sticking to their habit of showing up from time to time, Gigabyte being, this once, the one to make a contribution to the trend.

The new keyboard from Gigbabyte might not have all the perks and quirks of other products of the sort, but it does have some assets that clearly set it apart from regular peripherals.

The enlarged elastic rubber domes under the keycaps are one of those features, meant to enhance typing accuracy, as well as keystroke maximum speed and reliability of response. Each key should be able to withstand up to 10 million hits.

The Force K3 also has a one-piece rubber design (has a rubber membrane), which provides durability and stability.

Water-resistance is another advantage, even though some might ask themselves why a keyboard would have such a thing

Simply put, Gigabyte took into account the possibility of people spilling drinks over the keyboard and used the most obvious damage preventive measure.

The same can be said about the shock-resistant design (the keyboard is heavier than most, to make sure it doesn't move unnecessarily).

Finally, Gigabyte implemented an enhanced frame structure: a 4-layer structure that uses an extra chassis in the middle, making sure that the rubber sheet it firmly attached to the bottom of the keyboard. Drop resistance should, thus, be quite high.

Unfortunately, the company did not provide any information on the price or exact availability, which means it can take anything from moment to months for the item to show up online.

As such, prospective buyers can't really know if there will be an affordability advantage to offset the lack of mechanical Cherry Black switches that many gamers prefer.

Users can go ahead and compare the Force K3 to such things as the Ozone Strike Keyboard or the K60 Keyboard and M60 Mouse from Corsair.
