Gigabyte will have a big collection of items on display at this year's CES, one of them being a tablet aimed at professionals and business users.

Dubbed S1081, it is powered by an Intel Atom Cedar Trail central processing unit.

As was the case with the T1006 convertible netbook, the exact CPU was not singled out.

On the flip side, Gigabyte did say that the 10.1-inch S1081 tablet has a 500 GB hard disk drive, or a solid state drive (SSD) for people who want speed.

Moving on, the tablet comes with VGA, HDMI, USB 3.0, Bluetooth 4.0 and a 1.3 megapixel webcam, plus a carrying case.

Furthermore, Gigabyte tossed in an optical trackpad and, naturally, multi-touch support (capacitive).

Finally, the operating system loaded onto it is Microsoft's Windows 7.

Gigabyte did not say what price customers should expect, nor when sales would begin.

More information on it and a special docking station (DVD, audio) should emerge during CES 2012.
