Gigabyte, the Taiwanese company mainly known for producing computer motherboards, is also making Windows Mobile devices and it seems that it does a good job with them too.

The company already released several models from its GSmart series (like MS800 and MW700) and now it has unveiled two new Pocket PCs, during the Computex 2008 fair from Taipei, Taiwan's capital.

The flagship of Gigabyte's GSmart line-up is the GSmart MS820, a device that brings both high-end features and a pretty nice design. The MS820 runs on Windows Mobile and although for the moment the version of the OS is not known, we assume it's the latest 6.1 one. Moreover, the new GSmart handset comes with Gigabyte's new Smart Touch UI, allowing users to easily control the functions of the device with only one finger.

GSmart MS820 packs a 3 Megapixel camera with auto focus, being among the first Windows Mobile handsets to have such an evolved camera, together with the fashionable Samsung i900, which has a 5 (five) Megapixel camera but it was not yet officially presented. The other features included in the MS820 are: a 2.8 inch TFT touchscreen display with 480 x 640 pixels and 262K colors, built-in GPS, Wi-Fi, GSM and 3G connectivity, G-Sensor accelerometer, Bluetooth 2.0, USB 2.0, a 520 MHz Marvell PXA 270 processor, 256MB ROM, 128MB RAM and microSD card support - all in a good-looking case that measures 116 x 59 x 14.1 millimeters.

GSmart MS802, the other new Pocket PC from Gigabyte, doesn't bring as many features as the MS820 but it's still a nice device. Its list of specs includes a 2.8 inch TFT touchscreen display with 240 x 320 pixels, the same Smart Touch user interface, Windows Mobile (6.1 most likely), a 3 Megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3G/HSDPA and so on.

The release dates of GSmart MS820 and MS802 were not announced, but Gigabyte should soon reveal these details, as well as with the retail prices of its new devices.
