It really seems that Gigabyte will have quite a few new products on display at CeBIT 2011, including here a brand-new mouse designed specifically for gamers, namely the Aivia M8600.

As Chiphell reports, what we're talking about here is the company's first wireless gaming mouse, but despite its lack of a physical cable (which many gamers consider to be an absolute “must” in the case of such products), the peripheral is apparently capable of delivering quite an OK level of performance, all things considered.

And that's because the mouse comes equipped with a dual-core Acer GHOST laser engine, capable of providing some pretty impressive tracking capabilities, as well as a high-end wireless transceiver, meant to keep data transmission rates as close as possible to its wired counterparts.

Furthermore, similar to most other high-end peripherals out there, the new Gigabyte Aivia M8600 mouse offers extensive customization capabilities, including here support for the company's GHOST macro technology.

For those not particularly familiar with this term, it's important to mention that the GHOST enables users to save specific macro profiles right within the mouse's built-in 32KB memory, enabling a higher level of usability and faster access to customized controls, something that can prove to be an extremely important asset, especially for professional gamers.

It's interesting to mention that the peripheral also features a very interesting and innovative battery system, called QSBS (quick swap battery changing system), that enables gamers to change batteries on the fly, in just under 2 seconds, which means that their gaming experience will be affected to a very little extent.

These are all the bits and pieces of information related to Gigabyte's Aivia M8600 wireless gaming mouse we've come across thus far, but we hope to get some more details once the company officially announces it, during CeBIT 2011.
