Gigabyte, that is responsible for designing and producing mobile phones and handheld devices, producing the world's first Windows Mobile PPC phone with Direct Push Technology and built-in analog TV, is planning to release several new devices.

Those devices include the GSmart t600 and q60, to be presented at CeBIT and the Gigabyte GSmart i+ that is scheduled to be released during this month and comes with a sleek black 'piano-like' case.

It sports better looks than most devices of this type, but when it comes to features, the GSmart i+ is generally a new and updated version of the GSmart i that was released last year.

While most were expecting it to come with the new Windows Mobile 6 OS, it looks like most manufacturers would still rather include the previous version, Windows Mobile 5.

Features of the handheld include tri-band 900/1800/1900 and EDGE support, 192MB ROM, Bluetooth with A2DP support and WiFi for connectivity.

It is powered by an Intel PXA272 processor running at 416 Mhz, packs a 2.4 inch screen with a 240 x 320 pixel resolution, a 2.1 megapixel camera and a MicroSD card slot for providing more storage space for various types of files, in case the user needs it.

Other features include an FM Radio and English dictionaries. The GSmart i+ measures 106.2 x 53 x 19.5 mm and weighs 130 grams. All that's left to do is to wait for its official release, which as mentioned before, should be sometime this month. There are no details regarding the price of the handset, but that should also be revealed soon.
