Earlier today I told you about ASUS’ new gaming laptop, the G550JK that comes with a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 850M GPU. Anyway, if you’re looking to purchase something sleeker as a gaming machine, I suggest you take a look at the new Gigabyte P35G v2.

This is the second generation of the 15.6-incher, that arrives with a full HD IPS screen and Haswell architecture. The new lappy is already available for purchase at ExcaliberPC.

The device brings around enough horse-power to sustain the latest games you want to play. Gigabyte has added an Intel i7-4710HQ quad-core Haswell CPU under the bonnet, combined with NVIDIA GTX 860M 4GB video card.

The laptop can be fitted with up to 16GB of RAM and there’s plenty of storage space, thanks to the multi-bay storage system that accommodates up to 2HDDs and up to 2 mSATA SSDs.

The P35G v2 also has interchangeable DVD drive / HDD / SSD bay too. Compared to the previous generation, the main improvement the laptop arrives with is the GTX 860M graphics card which is based on the Kepler architecture.

Anyway, a configuration with 1TB HHD and 128GB mSATA SSD will take customers back with $1,599 / €1,167.

The P35G v2 packs the above specs in a 0.8-inch thin chassis and ends up weighing a little over 5 lbs / 2.26 kg.

Note, another version equipped with GTX 870M GPU GB will hit the market pretty soon.
