Will make an appearance at Computex

Over the past few months, the iPad proved that media tablets could exist as a market, the 3D trend grew, DirectX 11 products from NVIDIA debuted and Advanced Micro Devices presented not just six-core chips, but laptop processors as well. Even Intel showed off a pair of unlocked processors. With this myriad of electronics running rampant, this year's Computex seems poised to touch many hearts. In anticipation of this event, hardware makers and PC suppliers have offered over the past week sneak peaks of what will be on display at the show, and Gigabyte has now joined the crowd.

Among other things, the company will showcase a number of mobile PCs, such as the T1000, M1000 and Q1000 Pine Trail-M netbooks. The 14-inch Q1447 and the 15.6-inch Q1585, along with several other notebooks, are also headed to Taipei. There is an arguably more unusual electronic en route, however, which goes by the name of M1125.

With its rotatable screen measuring 11.6 inches, the mobile PC can be looked at as a sort of hybrid between a netbook and a convertible tablet. The folks over at Engadget even call it a netvertible, though the actual specifications are likely superior to those of such an entry-level PC.

Unfortunately, most details have still not made it to this side of the mystery veil, but Gigabyte wasn't completely merciless and, at the very least, let it be known that the native resolution of the LCD display is of 1366 x 768. It was also disclosed that the convertible boasted a full-sized keyboard, an Intel Calpella CPU and, most importantly, USB 3.0 connectivity.

Unfortunately, albeit unsurprisingly, pricing and availability details are not yet known, but users need not despair, considering that the actual official announcement won't take more than a few days to arrive.
