There are two for you to peruse, the G1 Gaming and Black Edition websites

Whenever Intel or AMD prepares to release a new range of CPUs, motherboard makers unveil a slew of new platforms too, and that's why Gigabyte has just unveiled two new websites.

You see, Intel will release the Devil's Canyon range of Haswell Refresh unlocked CPUs in June or July.

And since the normal Haswell refresh chips are already out, 9-Series motherboards (based on H97 and Z97 chipsets) have debuted as well.

They aren't all on the same level though, ranging from mini-ITX and micro-ATX to Full ATX and even larger in some cases (XL-ATX, E-ATX).

To make the distinction between the “normal” gaming and “overclocking” platforms easier, Gigabyte has launched the G1 Gaming and Black Edition websites.

The G1 Gaming website covers news, the G1 team, ESPORT events (game tournaments and the like) and, of course, the products themselves, among other things.

The Black Edition mainboards are the ones that will really make customers go all “wow,” even if there are only three of them so far: Z97X-Gaming G1 WIFI-BK, Z97X-UD5H-BK and Z97X-UD3H-BK.

You can even participate in contests via the Black Edition website, possible winning extended 5-year warranties on the products you buy, or even a trip to Taiwan, to see the assembly lines where the motherboards are made, not to mention the custom-built testing facility where Gigabyte runs 168 hours of tests on the things before they are deemed valid for sale.

Alas, most mainboards aren't available yet, so you'll have to keep checking with your local retailer if you want one.
