It seems that Micro-Star International is not the only company releasing new laptops, as a certain Gigabyte notebook has also begun to make its presence felt, even though it has not actually become available yet.

When making the FX603, MSI played on consumer need for DirectX 11 graphics and overall high performance.

As such, it used a combination of Intel processing and NVIDIA 400 series discrete graphics, as well as a solid amount of RAM.

Gigabyte went for the lower-end market and settled for more basic specifications when it made the E1500.

The entire configuration of this system is built around an Intel Pentium central processing unit (CPU).

Said CPU is backed up by either 2 GB or 4 GB of RAM (random access memory) and paired with the GMA (graphics media accelerator) 4500M integrated graphics.

This video solution does not have the same prowess as discrete solutions, but it still has what it takes to perform multimedia tasks, though most games, especially recent ones, are beyond its capabilities.

On that note, the 15.6-inch display has LED backlighting and a native resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels.

Additionally, storage space is provided by a hard disk drive whose internal capacity is of 250 GB, 320 GB or 500 GB.

There is also a 5-in-1 card reader, a DVD writer and all of the expected connectivity and I/O options.

This means that the Gigabyte E1500 has Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g WiFi and a 1.3 megapixel webcam, among other things.

Finally, all of this hardware runs on the power provided by a 4-cell battery, although the actual battery life is still unclear.

There is also no information on the price of the E1500 mobile computer, although availability should not be too far off, which means this final detail will be made known soon.
