GX-5 and GSmart

Gigabyte Communications, a division of the motherboard producer Gigabyte, is announcing its debut on the cell phone market by presenting the first model.

The Gigabyte GX-5 will be accompanied on the red carpet of the cell phone stage by a Pocket PC, and both of them will include applications and features aimed at the Taiwanese market.

The GX5 is a tri-band GSM/GPRS (900/1800/1900) handset that comes with a 2-inch, 262,000 color LCD, a 1.3 megapixel camera, a miniSD card slot, and some sort of "motion detector".

The other new phone is the GSmart, a tri-band GSM/GPRS (also 900/1800/1900) Windows Mobile-powered Pocket PC Phone has a slide-down keypad, WiFi, Bluetooth, a 2.1 megapixel camera, 2.4-inch, 262,000 color LCD touch screen, FM radion, TV tuner, and a miniSD card slot.
