Giga-byte Communication, a leading mobile phone manufacturer based in Taiwan, will be presenting some new DVB-T, DVB-H, DAB and T-DMB enabled Windows Mobile based devices at the 3GSM World Congress.

According to the manufacturer, the multi-function Gsmart q60 and Gsmart t600 are going to impress the audience at the world's largest exhibition for the mobile industry.

Moving on to what the smartphones can actually do, the GSmart t600 will come with DVB-T, DVB-H, DAB and T-DMB support, a screen with a VGA resolution and support for TV recording.

The VGA screen is meant to deliver a TV viewing experience we have not yet encountered in the case of other mobile phones. The second handheld, the GSmart q60 is the Taiwanese manufacturer's first 3.5G/3G PDA mobile phone.

It includes quite a lot of features among which GPS functionality and Mobile TV applications. GBC (Giga-byte Communications) is creating GSmart in order to make mobile life smart and aims to make work life more efficient and entertaining for their users, enabling them to "work smart and play hard anywhere, anytime".

Mr. Christopher Chen, General Manager of Global Sales and Marketing from GBC said, "GSmart is leading the industry in delivering Mobile TV to more than twenty countries. We enjoyed a great success with TV roaming in Russia and also received high reputation during the World Cup season in Thailand market in 2006." "Not only this," Christopher Chen emphasized, "GSmart aims to make products that empower users to interact with the world, and which inspire human minds through innovative ideas and technology."

There are no photos of the devices at the moment, and we have yet to see a complete spec sheet of the two.
