Actor David Hasselhoff has decided to auction off a series of memorabilia from his personal collection, and one of the items that go up for sale is a gigantic and weird statue of himself.

The 14-foot (4.2-meter) long, shirtless figure of the former “Knight Rider” and “Baywatch” star is showing him facedown on a surfboard and is now on the auction market. However, interested buyers could be disappointed by the big statue, as it isn't actually a faithful copy of the actor, with some even saying that it's rather creepy.

The model, which comes in two parts and is wearing David’s iconic red shorts from his lifeguard days, was once used in the 2004 “SpongeBob SquarePants” movie. The creepy figure is propped up on rolling metal racks.

The big figure is part of Hollywood Legends series of sales from Julien's auction house, and Hasselhoff hopes the statue will fetch him around $20,000-30,000 (€14,500-21,700).

According to Gawker, hundreds of items from Hasselhoff's career as an actor, singer and producer will go under the hammer at Julien’s Auctions in Los Angeles this month, including a signed Baywatch jacket, the lifeguard stand from Hasselhoff's Comedy Central roast, and his personal collection of David Hasselhoff posters.
