GhostBSD, a FreeBSD-based operating system that relies on GNOME desktop environments, is now at version 3.0 RC4.

GhostBSD 3.0 RC4 is based on GNOME 2, but the developers have promised that a GNOME 3 version will be available later.

Highlights of GhostBSD 3.0 RC4:

• All /home/user files and folders have been fixed. This problem has caused LibreOffice and other application to fail; • The i386 openbox image has been downsized in order to fit on a CD; • The path of Bxpkg on i386 has been repaired.

There is still a small issue with ZFS, which still needs more testing and will probably not work properly for 3.0. Also, the Openbox version doesn't contain a panel. Download GhostBSD 3.0 RC4 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
