Eric Turgeon has announced last night, November 12, the immediate availability for download and testing of the GhostBSD 3.0 RC3 operating system.

As expected, GhostBSD 3.0 RC3 is based on the recently released FreeBSD 9.1 RC3 operating system, and it features Bwn and Bwi firmware for Broadcom cards.

The good news is that an Openbox edition of the GhostBSD distribution is now available, but because it's still in development, it doesn't contain a panel.

X.Org is now configured automatically during the boot process, so the keyboard, mice, video card and other peripherals should work properly.

Last but not least, Mixmos has been added to the LXDE edition of GhostBSD.

Download GhostBSD 3.0 RC3 GNOME edition right now from Softpedia. The GhostBSD 3.0 RC3 LXDE edition and GhostBSD 3.0 RC3 Openbox edition can also be downloaded from our website.
