A little over a year ago, it became clear that the only reason Nicolas Cage had agreed to do another “Ghost Rider” film was because he was pressed for cash. With the release date looming, there's at least one thing fans can be thankful for: the cool poster. “Ghost Rider” failed to impress audiences and critics the first time around and, voices online are saying, there's no reason to believe things will change drastically with the sequel.
“Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance” drops in theaters in February 2012 and, while Columbia Pictures is holding a contest for the best fan-made poster, it's already released a new, official one-sheet.
Those who’ve seen the first movie know what to expect from any promo material for
the sequel, so it's not like the poster brings something new to the table.
It is, however, beautifully done and incredibly fierce: you can almost feel the heat from hell's flames on your face as you look at it.
If only the film turned out to be at least half as good as this poster is, we'd still get a pretty entertaining action movie.
