The spooky adventure is still coming

The Lost Crown: A Ghost-hunting Adventure was initially planned for a November release but, as you can see, nobody's playing it. Not because it's that bad - because the developers didn't manage to finish it in time, the game's publishers said. However, there are promises that the spooky adventure will now be ready in time and released early 2008.

The game is being developed by Jonathan Boakes and his Darkling Room team and it is about, as the name suggests, about ghost-hunters Nigel Danvers and Lucy Reubans as they unravel an ancient mystery and search for hidden treasures on England's coastline, famed for its legends of smugglers, pirates, and ghosts. Woooo... spooky! Now I start to regret that it wasn't released in time.

"The developer was not able to deliver the game in the expected time-frame, but assures us that 'the end is in sight'," said Got Game Entertainment President Howard Horowitz. "Mr. Boakes is determined to create the best possible gaming experience and we believe 'The Lost Crown: A Ghost-hunting Adventure' will be well worth the wait."

Some of the game's features are:

- Spine-tingling ghost story. - Realistic ghost-hunting, featuring actual E.V.P. (Electronic Voice Phenomena). - Photographs of unexplained entities captured by creator Jonathan Boakes while researching the game. - Chilling original soundtrack. - Point and click gameplay with both first and third person interaction. - Cast of virtual actors to share your paranormal adventure. - Local legends to investigate, interrogate, and observe. - Realistic and integrated puzzles.

Well, now, it seems that this is more than a game, right? I mean... captured entities and other real stuff seem creepy enough already, but having a team that actually works in this paranormal field - it's starting to be another story. Hopefully we'll be able to sleep at night after this one hits the market and definitely not try to get out and hunt some ghosts. Bo-ho-ho!
