Video game developer Radioactive Software and publisher Paradox Interactive have announced that Gettysburg: Armored Warfare, a mix between third person shooter and real time strategy, will be launched on the PC via Steam and other digital distribution services on March 27, for the price of 9.99 dollars or the equivalent in Euro.

The game transports players to an alternate version of the American Civil War where gamers can use old fashioned weapons but also get access to tanks and flying ships in order to control points on the battlefield and eliminate all opponents.

Gordon Van Dyke, who is senior producer at Paradox Interactive, stated, “Gettysburg: Armored Warfare will bring the fast action of a third-person shooter and the deep strategy experiences of an RTS together in a unique way.”

He added, “It’s amazing to see the game come together and deliver on the fun factor we were shooting for, and the fact that a one-man team was able to pull that off is nothing short of spectacular.”
