14 DAY TRIAL // Selena Gomez is really working hard to move away from her Disney image. After “Spring Breakers,” she’s coming to the big screen in a racing action pic called “Getaway,” also starring Ethan Hawke.
The first trailer for it is embedded above.
Though I would have never imagined Ethan Hawke doing a movie like this one, the trailer seems convincing enough to make me give him a chance.
Selena too looks good in the trailer, as a car hijacker who finds out she’s way in over her head when she gets into the wrong car.
Events lead up to an interesting – and quite explosive – climax, when Hawke’s character will probably have to sacrifice everything he stood for until that moment to save his kidnapped wife.
Directed by Courtney Solomon, “Getaway” will be out on August 30.
