14 DAY TRIAL // TRENDnet has just released a new firmware version for its TEW-658BRM (Version v1.0R) wireless ADSL 2/2+ modem router, numbered 1.03.B09. This iteration comes with security and GUI (Graphical User Interface) updates, as well as the addition of India time zone.
To perform the firmware update, download the archive from the link below and extract it to an accessible location. Use a wired connection to your router and access its configuration page by entering its IP address (192.168.10.1 is default) in a browser's address bar. The default login credentials are “admin” for both username and password fields.
In the configuration page, select “Maintenance” and then “Firmware Upgrade.” The current firmware version will be displayed and if you already have 1.03.B09 installed, there is no need to perform the update.
If you don't, browse for firmware file (extension “.img”) and click “Apply.” The update is now starting and, when it completes, the router restarts.
